1. The service
emisar is a control plane for safely letting AI agents and humans run a finite, versioned catalog of operations against your production infrastructure. We provide the catalog runtime, the policy engine, the audit journal, and the web/API surface you and your AI agents use to interact with them. emisar is operated by Andrii Dryga ("we", "us"); these terms are the agreement between you and us.
emisar is not a general-purpose remote shell, a backup product, a monitoring product, or a substitute for your own change-management process. It is the layer between an AI agent's intent and a host's execution.
The emisar source code (runner and control plane) is published under a source-available license that is not an OSI-approved open-source license — see the LICENSE file in the repository for the exact grant. These terms govern the hosted control plane, which is the supported product today.
2. Acceptable use
By using emisar you agree not to:
- Use emisar to evade an audit obligation you owe to your employer, your customers, or a regulator — every action emisar runs is by design recorded and exportable, and we will not help you delete that record.
- Share, publish, or sublicense your API keys or runner enrollment tokens. Each key identifies a principal; treat them like passwords.
- Target hosts, networks, or services you do not own or do not have explicit authorization to operate on.
- Use emisar to violate any applicable law, infringe any third party's rights, or transmit malicious software.
- Attempt to circumvent access controls or the trust boundary between the LLM, the control plane, and the runner.
We may suspend an account that violates these rules. We will tell you why, and we will let you export your data first if the situation allows.
3. Plans and billing
Free is free forever for personal and evaluation use, with the limits listed on the pricing page (1 user, 3 runners, 7-day audit retention).
Team is billed monthly via Paddle. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months.
Enterprise is contracted directly (invoice, custom terms, deployment planning, longer retention). Email sales@emisar.dev to start a conversation.
4. Confidentiality
Your audit events, action packs, policies, and the contents of any runs you execute through emisar are your confidential data. We do not disclose them to third parties except (a) to the subprocessors listed in the Privacy Policy, strictly as needed to operate the service, or (b) when compelled by valid legal process, in which case we will notify you in advance unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.
Our engineers do not access your data except to investigate a support ticket you have opened or a security incident in progress. Such access is itself audited.
5. Disclaimers
emisar is currently pre-GA. The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Our security posture is best-effort and improving. We will be transparent about incidents and limitations (see our Security page), but we cannot promise that no bug, no outage, and no security issue will ever occur.
You are responsible for the actions you authorize emisar to perform. If a policy you wrote permits an action, and that action runs, and that action causes damage to your systems, the responsibility is yours, not ours. emisar's job is to be the auditable gate; your job is to define a sensible catalog and a sensible policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or US $100, whichever is greater.
6. Termination
You can leave at any time. Cancel your subscription from the billing settings, export your data, and email support@emisar.dev to delete your account. We retain only what we are legally required to retain.
We may terminate or suspend an account that materially violates these terms (notably the acceptable-use rules above). For paid plans we will give you a reasonable opportunity to cure where the situation allows.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.
8. Updates to these terms
We may update these terms over time. For paid plans we will email registered billing contacts at least 30 days before material changes take effect; if you do not agree to the new terms you can cancel before they apply. For free accounts, the current version on this page governs.
